We are always eager to restore peace and harmony. Our compassion may sometimes seem intellectual rather than mushy or sweet. However, extraordinary acts of service, composed disposition, and a personable touch makes it easier to trust and find healing.
In December 1902, the U.S. struck a deal with Cuba to cut tariffs on Cuban imports by 20%. Backed by U.S. sugar refiners, the deal guaranteed cheap sugar for Americans, but deepened Cuba's economic reliance on the U.S. This dependence later helped spark the Cuban Revolution. Who does not respect women journalists? Calling ABC’s Rachael Scott “obnoxious and terrible”. December 6, called Caitlin Collins, “stupid and nasty”. On November 27, he asked Nancy Cortez of CBS,” Are you stupid?” On November 26, he called the NYT Katie Rogers “ugly”. On November 18 he called ABC’s Katie Bruce,” terrible and insubordinate”. And then there was the now infamous November 14 “quiet piggy.”
