POLITICIANS TO THE BRIDGE RESCUE
As City Island Images reported months ago, New York is planning to start building a new $150 million bridge the community does not want. As a result, City Islanders, along with Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr., NYC Comptroller John Liu and City Council Transportation Committee Chairman James Vacca are finally calling on the City’s Department of Transportation to begin the formal public input process regarding the scheduled construction of the new City Island Bridge, slated for next year, through ULURP as soon as possible.
