The Bronx Tourism Council has announced that hip-hop artist Fat Joe will be inducted to the Bronx Walk of Fame this year. Fat Joe joins dozens of other borough legends who throughout the years have been honored for their contributions to cultural and civic life in the Bronx, across the nation, and the world.

IDC Expanding Access to NY Products

The Independent Democratic Conference today proposed an expansion of the Pride of New York Program that will increase awareness of restaurants and markets that sell New York-grown products and help strengthen this state’s agricultural economy.

The proposal will create two new designations, “Dine: Pride of New York” for restaurants and “Shop: Pride of New York” for retailers and wholesalers, that would serve as a beacon for New Yorkers who are increasingly looking to buy locally grown products.

Before embarking on his Beethoven sonata marathon in Toronto, pianist Stewart Goodyear will headline the Bronx Arts Ensemble's Sunday, April 29th 3 pm chamber music concert at the home of Dr. Peter and Ute Gouras at 5225 Sycamore Avenue in the Bronx, where he will play Beethoven's "Archduke" Trio in B Flat Major, Op. 97. The concert will also feature the world premiere of "a/part" by Adam Himes.
