Immigration is changing the face of The United States of America with each individual entering this country from different parts of the world helping to make this evolution possible.

As our national diversity continues to increase, the population grows in the number of Asians, but mainly Hispanics. Here in New York and in many other areas with similar situations, whites and blacks are beginning to take notice of America's changing face.

City Island Images has learned that US Census is preparing new population figures, which will include the number of counted Whites, Blacks, Latinos, Asians and others living in this diverse nation. On June 26 they expect to show a significant increase in Hispanics.

37,500 JOBS AVAILABLE IN NYC

There are nearly 100K jobs currently available and listed on Jobs Express website www.jobs.ny.gov
The site sorts thousands of jobs by region and occupation, and also allows users to search jobs based on zip code and travel distance.

New businesses and job listings are added every day. Throughout the month of April 2014, there were more than 73,000 new job openings listed on Jobs Express – a 22 percent increase from April 2013 – and more than 78,000 unique website visitors. More than 7,100 businesses posted a new job order on the site in April 2014. Businesses using the site fulfilled nearly 55,000 job orders in April 2014.

Presbyterian Senior Services was founded in 1962 when a small group of volunteers banded together to help care for older members of their church community. From modest beginnings, we have grown into an agency encompassing seven senior centers.

In the fifty years since their founding, PSS has been making a difference in the lives of older adults, their families, and their communities. From a modest beginnings, they have grown and changed as needs have grown and changed, to become recognized leaders in the areas of senior services and caregiver support.

The friendlier @Jlo aka Jennifer Lopez was doing things her way and this time without an attitude. Our home grown gal from The Bronx graced her fans with a free concert tonight.

The Bronx actress, dancer, producer, recording artist, who is best known as Jeni from the block performed a live concert in Orchard Beach and although some locals were complaining for days prior to the even, the traffic as well as the show went off without any major problems. Much Ado About Nothing!

There are allegations of fat cats enjoying tax breaks, with some media and politicians helping to save them billions of dollars, which are reportedly diverted into political campaigns. Jennifer Lynn Muñiz is The Bronx actress, dancer, producer, recording artist and Jeni from the block.

J-LO has graciously agreed to perform in a free live concert in Orchard Beach and has created quiet a buzz. The fans are excited and so are the locals, but not for the same reasons.

NYPD officials have assured area residents that the traffic flow will be controlled and the concert should go on without any problems.

US SOLDIER OR MILITARY DESERTER?

A prisoner exchange is a deal between opposing sides in a conflict to release individuals. But since USA does not deal with terrorists, there's now lots of talk about this soldier being a military deserter.

Immediately following the release of the last U.S. prisoner of war in Afghanistan, a national debate in heating up on whether the deal to free 28 year old Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl, who was missing since 2009.

His welcome home celebration has now been cancelled, while the military determines if charges will be filed against Bergdahl.
