Bolshoi ballet is known for it “Colorful and bold” styles accompanied by traditional and Russian techniques. Some of the few dancers to come out of and work for their company include Maria Alexandrova, Ekaterina Krysanova, Dmitry Gudanov, and David Hallberg.

La La Land Hype?

Is La La Land really all its Hyped Up to Be? Damien Chazelle’s La La Land has been nominated for 14 Oscars, we all heard this morning as the Oscars live streamed their nomination picks. https://youtu.be/SAqyTP1LOxo

But is it really worth all the hype it’s been generating? First things first, the trailer does not do the film justice; but that being said I generally liked the movie. Was it in the same caliber as Titanic and All About Eve, the only two other movies ever attaining 14 nominations? Well, that’s what I’m about to start hashing out.

Economic Forecast

If the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World were not limited to the Mediterranean region, the Great Wall of China would likely make the list. The one that made later lists was mostly built in and after the 14th century but prior walls were built as far back as 200BC. Defending against Mongol raids was the most obvious purpose but trade and immigration control were also reasons why the Han Dynasty built the early earthen barriers so that workers and goods were accounted for and taxed.
