Millions of people are lacking basic digital knowledge all over the earth. Systemic problems with computer training have been costing the world economy millions every year in lost income.

Our global digital skills crisis is growing where millions are lacking the very basic digital know-how. Digital exclusion has no place in The 21st century. While some governments are to be commended for the actions taken so far to tackle aspects of the digital skills crisis, stubborn digital exclusion, systemic problems with cyber education and training need to be addressed as a matter of urgency in the overall digital strategy.

The entire world needs to take concerted action to avoid this crisis to continue developing. We need to make sure tomorrow’s workforce is leaving school or university with the digital skills that all global citizens need to function as productive human beings.

What will happen when today's high-tech mega data storage systems become tomorrow's floppy discs?
