Put Down Your Guns

Chanting the world is watching and put down your guns, US protesters around the country took to the streets and blocked major highways as a way to reject their frustrations following polices shootings of blacks and other minorities, who are not armed.

Public safety officials in riot gear continued to keep protesters from entering major freeways and transportation arteries around the nation and made multiple arrests.

Some demonstrations became violent during protests over the killing of a black man by a Latino police officer in a routine traffic stop, resulting in more than 100 arrests and injuries to several officers who faced rocks, bottles and Molotov cocktails.

In Dallas, a sniper killed and wounded police officers before he was taken out with explosives by a remote controlled robot.
