CITY IMAGES wishes all of you health, happiness & success in the New Year of the Monkey" - Lunar New Year.

Asians who embrace their roots and culture are forming their own relationship with the Lunar New Year, a holiday that’s in the midst of becoming an Asian American festival. They puzzle through the holiday’s exacting customs as a celebration of ethnic pride rather than out of adherence to superstitions about luck.

This holiday has “Buddhist, Confucian and Daoist traditions that are embraced and adapted through 5,000 years of Chinese culture. Not only China, but folks in many other Asian nations are also celebrating. This year, the official new year begins on ‎Monday, 8 February, but The Year of The Monkey celebrations are already underway.
