Hello-

Accept my application for the advertised position. I have served on the senior leadership team of several high-profile media organizations. Allow me to point out my successful track record with administration, branding, public
relations, social media, and publications, along with managing communications budgets, staff development, and
meeting long-term core objectives, as well as real-time deadlines.

I create engagement plans with key partners, stakeholders, leaders, and organizations to advance the interests of
academic programs, marketing campaigns, and fundraising as well as outreach initiatives. I can also design strategies to
establish and sustain high-profile, key relationships with public and nonprofit sectors, particularly in pace-setting
partnerships not being currently addressed. Some of my priorities will be to strengthen media partnerships and enhance
sponsored programs and events.

I can direct communication strategies utilizing media, providing board members and administrators with valuable
media training, participating in upholding the college's reputation among key constituencies, including elected and
appointed officials, decision-makers, and potential donors are just a few reasons to hire me.
My advanced communications degrees, and my media management positions, demonstrated responsibility for strategic
analysis and execution of organizational communications strategies and spokesperson capabilities should make me an
outstanding candidate.

I’ve demonstrated an ability to anticipate, prioritize, and orchestrate tasks with flexibility and poise under pressure and
in changing environments. Also consider my superior multilingual skills, my writing abilities, editing, and editorial
expertise, including managing news-breaking events and delivering powerful verbal, visual, and written
communications.

I offer expertise that’s heavily weighted to focus on compelling growth stories, as I have contributed
meaningfully to significant growth in popularity, increasing programs, education, and training services, as well as a
customer base.
In short, I am the real deal: I have blazed the trail for fast-growing local, regional, and global newsrooms and
journalism programs throughout my career while leading sizable teams of dedicated professionals. I am also a
multilingual and charismatic storyteller who always keeps a close eye on data-driven reality. I have start-up experience
as well as turnaround expertise and can drive growth to any brand, even if it means moving around and outside
the lines of the norm.

I have a contagious sense of humor, a touch of irreverence, and a flair for the unconventional. This is my opportunity to
gain a seat at the table and use the knowledge I’ve accumulated to build something truly career-defining.
I am committed to creating a diverse workforce on our campus by ensuring that barriers to equal employment
opportunity and upward mobility do not exist here. I strive to achieve the full and fair participation of minorities,
women, people with disabilities, and any other protected groups found to be under-represented.

Equal opportunity means employment, development, and promotion of individuals without consideration of race, color,
disability, religion, age, sex, marital status, national origin, sexual orientation, or veteran status unless there is a bona
fide occupational requirement, which excludes persons in one of these protected groups.
As a journalism faculty member of an American HBCU, I have ensured that barriers, which may unnecessarily exclude
protected groups are identified and eliminated. I will continue to explore alternative approaches if any policy or
practice is found to hurt protected groups.
