Where in the World Is Edward Snowden? This is the question of the latest international spy tracking game.

The war of words between China, Russia and US continues to escalate. As he flees from espionage charges, NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden apparently left Hong Kong on Sunday for Ecuadoran asylum. This could leave USA with little option as attempts are made to prosecute Snowden who is accused of leaking details about top secret surveillance programs. Snowden may have some 200 sensitive documents in his possession.

This year on City Island the turnout was less than last year, with only 50 vessels receiving their blessings.

Although the Blessing of the Fleet continues to be a longstanding naval tradition symbolizing the start of the boating season.

The parade of boats and kayaks received a blessing on the water. Each one of the boats received a salute and prayer from religious leaders representing the Catholic, Methodist, Episcopal and Jewish faiths.

SHOP WRONG BAKERY

Submitted by ub on

Today I visited a local Supermarket, which takes pride in it's name. Shopping the right way.

My sweetheart wanted some onion and green pepper Foccacia. I asked the clerk if he had any fresh ones and he said they would be making any for a while.

I purchased one with today's date and happily took it home for her only to have her find the bread full of mold and mildew scattered throughout the pie.

What would you do if it was you? New Rochelle Shop Wrong Bakery....NOT EVER, NO WAY!

FEMA RISKS

Under its Risk MAP Program, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is providing quality flood hazard information to help communities plan for and reduce the risk from flooding. As part of that effort, FEMA Region II has initiated a coastal flood study to update the information shown on the Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRMs) for 14 coastal New Jersey counties and New York City. The FIRM shows each community's flood hazards and is a requirement for participation in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). The FIRM is used to determine who must buy flood insurance and where floodplain development regulations apply.

This website, which is updated as progress on the coastal flood study continues, will include links to the online preliminary FIRM panels (once completed), and details on public meetings to review those preliminary results. We encourage you to explore this website to learn more - be sure to check back regularly for updates, or sign up for our Twitter feed. In the meantime, there are steps that you can take now to keep your communities and families safe from flood risk:

This may become an international tour of US global enemies. Where the infamous leaker stops, perhaps nobody knows.

The former contractor for the U.S. National Security Agency, charged by the United States with espionage has left Hong Kong with his final destination not known, because an official request for his arrest did not comply with the law, according to the Hong Kong government.

Edward Snowden left for Moscow on Sunday, but his final destination may be Cuba, Venezuela, Iceland or Ecuador. This is bound to infuriate Washington, wherever he ends up.

CITY ISLAND SUPER MOON

This one is one of 4-6 super-moons a year on average. It doesn’t sound very special, but tonight's full moon lines up much more closely with perigee, which is the moon’s closest point to Earth.

This full moon falls only 22 minutes after the moon reaches perigee, the moon’s closest point to Earth for this month and year. At perigee, the moon lies only 356,991 kilometers (221,824 miles) away. Two weeks later, on July 7, the moon will swing out to apogee – its farthest point for the month and year – at 406,490 kilometers (252,581 miles) distant.

Edward Snowden may be facing arrest if he continues to stay in Hong Kong, after US authorities filed charges, thereby trying to extradite him over leaks on classified surveillance programs.

Mr. Snowden has become a political hot potato between China and US and is currently under protection but has not so far been asked to reveal his trove of intelligence data.

The 29-year-old former CIA employee contractor for the National Security Agency, flew to Hong Kong before leaking detailed evidence of the scale of US hacking and cyber-surveillance programs.
