The twice-impeached Republican is now the first former president to face federal charges. A federal grand jury indicted Trump on seven criminal charges in connection with his mishandling of more than 100 classified documents that were discovered last year at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.

Trump’s 'foolish'  and 'childish' letter demanding to meet with AG Garland is shredded by;ahal experts

The letter asks Garland for a meeting at his earliest convenience to discuss what the attorneys describe as the "ongoing injustice that is being perpetrated" by special counsel Jack Smith and says that no president has been "baselessly investigated" in such an "unlawful fashion."

Special prosecutor Jack Smith is reportedly investigating Trump for possible witness tampering through hiring and paying for witnesses’ lawyers through his Save America Political Action Committee before they testify before the grand jury, also in possible criminal violation of federal election laws.

Trump and Barr began an investigation that lasted longer and cost US taxpayers more than Muller’s probe but was a Nothing Burger.
