79 years ago, more than 150K troops from 8 Allied countries stormed the beaches of Normandy — the largest invasion force in history.

June 6 marked the 79th anniversary of D-Day when the decisive battles of World War Two ended German domination of  Europe. High hopes and a great deal of worry existed over its outcome.

Kent Cooper was an American journalist who achieved worldwide prominence as executive director of the Associated Press 

KC's band of journalists at The AP were laboring there for decades.

Kent Cooper was a man of many talents and could play 10 musical instruments. He wrote the operetta About That Girl which was produced in 1943.

Only Native Americans are in their homeland - The  American dream. Anyone who's been told they don't belong here should look that person in the eye and ask where they're from.

In fact, I served on the Presidential Advisory Board on Nondiscrimination and Affirmative Action representing the CSUN faculty senate.

DEI promotes the fair treatment and full participation of all people who are historically underrepresented or subject to discrimination.
