Near 80 degrees in October? Where's the fall weather? Swap out the hoodies for tank tops as tomorrow's forecast calls for a little more warmth in October.

We are not complaining, in fact, we were pleasantly delighted by the sights on the beach.
Our resolve is to visit Orchard Beach more often. As you can see, we had one constant visitor of one of our websites enjoying the temporary warm temperatures in the NYC area. We met this NYC college student, who decided to read on the beach and we were able to spot her wearing a Dose of News shirt that our supporters have ordered online.

Aside from all the dating sites to visit, there is the first date, dating and the relationship, which sooner or later could be followed by a wedding.

ELECTION DAY

There's a reason Election Day is on Tuesday, this was a scheduling decision that made sense in 1845 when election days were standardized. Sunday was the sabbath, so traveling that day to make it to your polling place on Monday was out. And then farmers had to go to market on Wednesdays. Back then, lots of people were farmers and many were religious.

Now in 2016, the majority of US citizens don't farm anymore and God-fearing Americans drive. Yet, Election Day remains on a Tuesday, so why not make it a national holiday. We can call it Democracy Day and give everyone a day off.

BOSS DAY

Boss’s Day is observed on October 16, or the nearest working day, which is today. I can safely say speaking from experience that if you have a boss, you're better off with a woman as your superior.

The day goes a long way to improving the relationship between employees and supervisors. Also, there's nothing more miserable than celebrating someone that you don’t like. And then there is the pressure if a collection being taken to get the boss a gift. If you don’t contribute, you're not a team player.

Not really, only one person will win the election in just 23 days and you can have a say, regardless of all the talk about a rigged election. However, the slugfest is bound to get uglier before the knockout punch is delivered.

Take a deep breath and realize that this toxic camp pain is coming to an end and the presidential election will finally end in 23 days.

MADAM PRESIDENT

When the polls painted a different picture there was no problem, but now that stats indicate Hillary Clinton holds a double-digit lead in the presidential race the Republican candidate is, unfortunately, singing a different tune. Therefore we hereby endorse @HillaryClinton.

In the spirit of clarity and transparency, allow me to add that I am not a registered Democrat and I once worked for a Republican president.

Please do not buy into those spewing hate or fear. Humans are taught to hate and fear appears when there is an absence of knowledge. Remember that time heals all wounds and history has proven that wisdom allows us freedom from threats.

BIG NEWS

Google announces a new feature that tags and helps "fact checking in large news stories."

Tagged articles will show up in the new story box on news.google.com, as well as in the Google News and Weather app for iOS and Android in the USA and the United Kingdom.

There's a two-pronged approach to detecting fact checking. First Google looks for actual markup in the site's source code. Then Google looks for pages "that follow the commonly accepted criteria for fact checks." You can learn more about the process here.
