We're extremely proud to share this new year edition of City Images published from the middle of somewhere in New York City that doesn't get much attention, but that's the way the locals like it. My innermost deepest algorithm confirms that I'm no fan of flying, after a fair share of crazy flights to last a lifetime. But a twelve-hour coast to coast tour took Yirong and me thru connecting flights in Minneapolis and Salt Lake City, plus the mandatory six hours in the air, and the time change was all worth it to be with family.

At least 12 New Yorkers are dead as a result of a fire which took the lives of people ranging in ages from 1 to 63 years old. The Bronx historic fire is considered the worst in a quarter of a century and occurred inside a building near The Brox Zoo.

The US housing bubble was a real estate bubble affecting over half of the U.S. states. Housing prices peaked in early 2006, started to decline in 2006 and 2007, and reached new lows in 2012.

New Years Resolution

As we approach the end of another year, we make resolutions after taking stock of who we are and how we want to be.

We think about our diets and whether or not we need to exercise more, eat, or drink less alcohol. We wonder if we’re smart, frugal, ambitious enough, whether we've studied or read enough books or donated our time and spent our energies wisely.
