Today is do or die day for Marco Rubio, John Kasich and Bernie Sanders, who are fighting to keep their White House hopes alive.

Many are voting strategically this time in hopes of altering the outcome of the presidential race by voting for someone other than their favorite candidate in the primaries. Does this sound confusing? Check back in a few hours and lets try this again.

Most states have awarded delegates on a proportional basis so far. But that changes in an effort to help a front-runner and hinder those falling behind.

GUN Control

The Second Amendment to the US Constitution concerns the right to bear arms, and has always been a hot-button issue, especially during election season. Gun rights and gun control groups alike have been lobbying Congress for decades to craft legislation in their respective favors. Some say gun control is about how steady one holds their firearm, others say its about limiting access to deadly weapons. What say you?

Back in 1964 a Republican who campaigned to seek the Republican Party nomination for President of the United States challenged the incumbent Democratic party. Early on, he was accused of attempting to galvanize strategic support while neglecting other groups, eventually becoming one of his primary opponent groups in the race for the Republican Party's nomination.

As my friend and neighbor likes to say, we'll get plenty of sleep when we die. So if you do not get enough sleep, get ready to lose an hour early Sunday when daylight-saving time arrives. At 2 AM (except in parts of Arizona)

Clocks will spring forward an hour, so it will suddenly be 3 AM. Remember that not all clocks jump ahead automatically, so get ready for a morning tour around the house and in your car to push those numbers forward.

ALLERGIES

I hear birds singing and soon the bees will be buzzing around me. The only downside I feel to this sudden warms weather is my early allergies. Stuffy nose, watery eyes, stuffy and a sore throat has made a premature comeback in this allergy sufferer.

In NYC, a combination of the mild winter weather, along with an early March warm-up has resulted in an early-starting season for sufferers like myself and my wife. These conditions allows trees to pollinate earlier than usual.

Too Little, Too Late?

The GOP candidates went all out to appear presidential in their 12th GOP debate speaking in firm but level tones.

The debate once again lacked specifics from all the candidates. This contest before Tuesday's polling at least did not degenerate into the mudslinging of past debates, when the candidates insulted and talked over one another.

Meanwhile, another former foe of The Donald, retired surgeon Ben Carson is endorsing Trump for president. This development may strengthen the front-runner’s support among blacks, conservatives and evangelicals.

Five For Fukushima

Five years have now passed since Japan suffered a triple catastrophe: an earthquake, a tsunami and Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant meltdown.

As the agency for advice and assistance on public health, WHO shares the concerns of the affected populations in Japan and continues monitoring the health risk situation in Fukushima.

Related public health risk assessments and recommendations have been issued by WHO. Today the major challenge remains in the area of mitigation psycho-social impact of the disaster.

STUPOR TUESDAY?

Tuesday changes everything in this seemingly never ending camp pain. While some of the candidates keep rolling on with their hot air, Stupor Tuesday may be make-or-break is day for some political rivals.

Expect unseasonably warm temperatures today and Thursday across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. Afternoon high temperatures in these areas are forecast to be 15 to 30 degrees above average. Temperatures across portions of the Mid-Atlantic are forecast to surpass 80 degrees.

RIP George Martin

90 year old George Martin is dead. The brilliant music producer guided The Beatles' historic transformation from rowdy club act to musical and cultural icons. I recall speaking with him once and my initial impression was that he had great vision and was a lovely person.
