PLENTY OF HOT AIR

Not a new idea, but an old sports controversy. NFL Quarterback Tom Brady has his opportunity to appeal a four-game suspension in New York City in front of NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell today.

CITY IMAGES feels that Goodell's Deflategate decision upholding, reducing or eliminating the punishment will probably not cause major changes in the public's opinion of a four-time Super Bowl champion.

These perceptions occurred over time and during a stellar 15-year NFL career, but perhaps damaged in the AFC Championship footbal game in which he may have knowingly used deflated footballs.

As European leaders increase their efforts to reach a deal over the Greek debt crisis before an emergency Brussels summit to break the financial deadlock, French President Francois Hollande says everything must be done to keep Greece in the eurozone.

Greek PM Alexis Tsipras set out new proposals in a bid to prevent a default on a €1.6bn (£1.1bn) IMF loan. Greece must repay the loan by the end of June or risk crashing out of the single currency and possibly the EU.

FATHERS SUMMER

This Fathers Day falls on the Summer Solstice, which signifies the start of summer in the Northern Hemisphere. The timing of the solstice depends on when the Sun reaches its farthest point north of the equator.

In temperate regions, we notice that the Sun is higher in the sky throughout the day, and its rays strike Earth at a more direct angle, causing the efficient warming we call summer.

This summer solstice is the day with the most hours of sunlight during the whole year.
