October 10 is Electronic Records Day and the National Archives has enabled researchers to access federal records with computer applications.

The Federal Records Act of 1950 offers the legal framework for managing federal records, including their creation, upkeep, and disposition. Since the National Archives started collecting electronic data in the 1970s, these records have become invaluable tools for archive research.

Now that you’re old enough, I’m going to tell you a small story about the banning of books in Cuba that led me to love books and is the reason I read all the time and became a teacher.

In 1960 a series of collectible, trading cards began to pop up everywhere in Cuba. They chronicled the seven years it took Fidel Castro and his army " to win their jungle and urban war against the previous Batista government."

12 Members of the GOP joined The Democrat majority, for now until January, to pass the codification of Marriage Equality with a filibuster-proof majority. The Respect for Marriage Act will be law for the holidays. Merry Christmas to all.
