Real Crimes or Misdemeanors?

Submitted by ub on

Crossing the US border without permission is a misdemeanor. The connection between immigration and crime is one of the most confusing and contentious topics in modern day society. Debates on the issue date back more than 100 years. A general point on which both pro- and anti-immigration scholars agree on is that the latest wave of immigration is likely to have a more impact on American politics than any other socially charged issue.

Weapons of Fast Destruction

One of these days The Grand Old Party will wake up to realize that Trump's Modus Operandi is to cause chaos. It is the word most tossed around each and every week to capture the circus atmosphere circling around Donald Trump's DC Drama Circus.

They say its hard to teach an old dog new tricks, and old habits die hard and since that is what he knows, particularly in the contexts of business and criminal investigations.

Are you mostly seeing green when you think about Trump and his endless amount of questionable activities and personal practices?

When his base loses food stamps, energy assistance, unemployment insurance, housing assistance, Pell Grants and all those benefits brown and black people they feel don't deserve, only then will his approval undoubtedly shrink. Just wait and remember that he did not receive the majority of the votes counted. In the meantime...

Educate-Labor?

Who despite evidence to the contrary has tweeted confirmation that he is, in fact, a stable genius and is now proposing to merge US Department of Labor and Education? Is this a sinister plan to destroy both agencies?

It was political poker and he folded. POTUS tried looking very tough, but eventually backed off when the going got rough.

What prompted a sudden @realDonaldTrump change of his unpopular @POTUS policy? Was it the outpouring of negative public opinion, a bluff went wrong, or another lie fact-checked, or all of the above? Trump breaks down and reverses himself by signing another executive order telling everyone to stop HIS family separation practice that blew up in his face.

USA For Sale?

Submitted by ub on

Is the USA for sale, or has it already been sold right from under our eyes? As the resistance to POTUS continues to grow in communities across America, hundreds of thousands of people have protested Trump’s cutting the rights of many and more wil most likely continue demonstrating in cities across the nation.

Moreover, the resistance has reached the halls of Congress after Trump uses his jaw Mussolini-style, claiming that a new vision will govern our land called America first, but is it really more like Trump first?

Award-winning superstars don't need to use profanity while speaking truth to power. If my Tocayo Robert Anthony De Niro Jr., who is also a producer, and director, or anyone else wants to make a personal comment about the sad state of affairs in our political discourse, they should register between now and November 2018 and then make sure they VOTE.

The Real USA Allies

Submitted by ub on

We The People of The United States of America have long relied on a group of close allies, along with formal diplomatic relations with most UN member states except for Bhutan, Iran, North Korea, and Syria. That was then, but @realDonaldTrump has now changed all of this. Where is our system of checks and balances?

Why is it that longtime allies and trading partners like Canada, Great Britain, Germany, France, Mexico and South Korea have been pushed aside for North Korea, Russia, and China?

Purging US Voters

Submitted by ub on

By a 5-4 decision, US Supreme Court Justice Alito reverses the 6th circuit and upholds Ohio's purging of infrequent voters. The state of Ohio has purged 2 million voters since 2011, more than any other state. Black voters 2x as likely as whites to be purged in state's largest counties.

This means it is OK to purge voters from the rolls if they skipped voting a couple of times. Apparently, casting your ballot is no longer a right, but a privilege. This is why GOP lawmakers collaborate with POTUS. They know voter suppression helps them to make elections neither free nor fair.
