Popular music has a way of reflecting what’s really going on around us, as songwriters and artists write directly about current events.

Music is a universal language, and a window to the soul. The following artists left their windows wide open. These songs allow us to time travel to a specific place in history.

Special music activates many parts of our brain, including the so-called limbic system of the brain, which is involved in motivation, emotion, learning, and memory.

New Jersey’s senior Senator has been indicted again and this second time does not look good for him this time around.

He called a news conference where he refused to take questions from the press or the public. Meanwhile, Menendez brushed off calls to resign from the US Senate after his second indictment.

The Bronx fentanyl day care case grows as the investigation intensifies and arrests continue to pile up.

A third criminal defendant has been arrested in connection with the New York City daycare drug operation that resulted in the death of a 1-year-old boy.

Police investigators discovered a trap floor containing drugs, including fentanyl, inside a Bronx daycare center where a 1-year-old boy died of a suspected fentanyl overdose last week, according to NPPD authorities.

History is often the best guide to the future. There is a through line from Galileo Galilei, a 16th-century scientist, to Anthony Fauci, a physician-scientist who responded to the COVID-19 pandemic. It goes well beyond their shared Italian heritage.  

It is additional evidence that humans in power will do whatever they can to negate anything threatening their staying in control. Dictators do this, and wannabe dictators, of which there seem to be more every decade, quickly adopt the posture.

The zodiac can also give us insights into our core characteristics as people.Among them are empathy— the ability to understand and share the feelings of another— stands out as a noble trait.

My oldest daughter Natasha, my first endless love, returned from a Kemtucky business trip home of American bluegrass music 🎼

This is dedicated to her, my son-in-law, Elena, Chloe, Sophia and Parker. Bluegrass is a fascinating genre rooted in American folk music. This form of country music developed in Appalachia with influences from Scottish and Irish traditional music, African-American spirituals, and jazz.

We miss you, Mike. In the shadow of where the Twin Towers once stood in New York City, glowing above the memorial pools honoring the nearly three thousand people killed on September 11, 2001, stands a shining new monument to the living.
