Forgotten American Farmers

The soybean, or soya bean, is a species of legume and, widely grown for its edible bean which has numerous uses.

Soybeans are a good source of protein. Not as good as meat or eggs, but better than most other plant proteins. However, you don't have to tell this to American farmers, who for years have been growing and selling them to many countries like China.

That was then, but this is now. Why has the Trump administration neglected American farmers? Is it time for @realDonaldTrump to come clean and tell them the real truth?

Cuban Independence Day

The Cuban government has announced that it will now officially celebrate independence day El Grito de Yara / Cry of Yara on October 10, 1868, as a declaration of Cuban independence, which began the Ten Years' War. That morning, after sounding the bell that indicated to his slaves it was time for work, they stood before him waiting for orders, and Carlos Manuel de Céspedes announced they were all free men and were invited to join him and his fellow conspirators in a war against the Spanish government of Cuba.

Why does the GOP continually insist on counterproductive practices of deliberately preventing a planned political process? Have Republicans lost their way and are they one step closer to tearing up the USA? Why would they be allowed to succeed?

Republicans have looked the other way on Trump’s scandals and misdeeds, ignoring their majority oversight responsibilities and undermining the entire idea of checks and balances. Our forefathers established our nation under God to embrace a mindset that all men and women are created equal and that no one is above the law.

Food Fight

The Environmental Working Group (EWG) https://www.ewg.org/ publishes a "Dirty Dozen" list that ranks the most popular fruits and vegetables based on their pesticide residue levels.

By analyzing pesticide residue data from more than 36,000 samples tested by the USDA and FDA, this year EWG found a total of 178 different pesticides on fresh produce samples tested - residues that remain even after items are washed and, in some cases, peeled.

Here's a list of which fruits and veggies you might want to be wary of at the grocery store.

Today marks one year since Robert Mueller was appointed as special counsel in the Russia investigation. Since then, US Senate investigators released transcripts in which Donald Trump Jr. said he couldn't remember who he talked to for 11 minutes when he called a blocked number after meeting with Russian agents in 2016. One year into the probe, which @POTUS calls a Witchunt there may be many more witches to hunt down before Halloween. Let's see, there are the sons, the son-in-law, the daughter, the VP, and last but not least, The Warlock?
