As New. York prepares for the ball to drop live during Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve hosted by Ryan Seacrest, crime keeps rising.

NYPD is gearing up for more than 5 1⁄2 hours of music performances, guests and a glimpse at New Year's Eve celebrations around the globe. This year, it returns for its 52nd time and marks Seacrest’s 19th year as the show host.

I guess mom did liked duck best but wanted him last. The last of the wholesome American comedy teams is no longer together.

Thomas Bolyn Smothers III was an American comedian, actor, composer and musician, best known as half of the musical comedy duo the Smothers Brothers, alongside his younger brother Dick. Smothers and John Lennon played acoustic guitar during the recording of Lennon's 1969 song "Give Peace a Chance"

One of the American acts that I had the pleasure of introducing to my wife were the silly and delightfully funny Smothers Brothers.

Each day of Kwanzaa is dedicated to a principle to be reflected on and celebrated. Today marks the start of the seven days that conclude on January 1st with an affirmation of the importance of faith. The diversity of our county, where more than 100 languages and cultures are represented, makes us truly special.

In December of 1966, CBS-TV  premiered the animated special How The Grinch Stole Christmas, from the 1957 Dr. Seuss.

A beloved children's tale by Dr. Seuss, the reclusive green Grinch decides to ruin Christmas for the cheery citizens of Whoville. Reluctantly joined by his hapless dog, Max, the Grinch comes down from his mountaintop home and sneaks into town to swipe everything holiday-related from the Whos.
