Democracy comes from the Greek and translates to “rule by the people.” In 1863, President Abraham Lincoln captured this essence of democracy in his famous Gettysburg address, upholding a government “of the people by the people and for the people.” Workers make up the vast majority of the people. All we need is digital democracy to save the world order that could turn it into a den of thieves.

In the years following President Kennedy’s assassination, three Kennedy women worked to commemorate his life and legacy. Rose, his mother, relied upon her memories to recreate his birthplace as the John Fitzgerald Kennedy National Historic Site. Jackie, his wife, used her experiences as First Lady to inform her vision of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. A generation later, Caroline, his daughter, would continue their efforts by establishing the Profile in Courage Award. Each of these women had a strong understanding of image making and legacy, and shaped the national memory of President Kennedy beyond the 1960s.

Poly = Many + Ticks = Blood-sucking Parasites
Dominance displays are commonly observed in male animals—often primates—who seek to improve their social status. Behaviors like stamping, slapping the ground, dragging branches, and throwing rocks serve to intimidate rivals and impress onlookers, showing strength, boldness, and creativity. The core idea is that:
Spectacular and vigorous displays = greater social impact
This leads to faster ascent in the hierarchy and longer dominance
In evolutionary terms, such behaviors may be selected for because high status often brings better access to resources, including mates.

Sinclair was one of two major broadcast owners that had not agreed to air the show this week after Disney lifted a nearly week-long suspension. It had faced pressure from some lawmakers over the decision not to air the program. Sinclair's ABC stations represent about 14 percent of U.S. households. Nexstar Media Group has also opted temporarily to keep Kimmel off the air on its station group.

INVESTIGATE PUBLIC MEDIA

I have dedicated years of my professional life working in nonprofit, government, and public media. I’ve seen firsthand the power of public broadcasting to inform, connect, and serve communities that too often go unheard or unseen. That’s why I’m sounding the alarm today.. Trust but verify that they are all serving the public effectively and efficiently.
To report waste, fraud, abuse, corruption, or failing to serve the public as a nonprofit by someone in a position to rectify the wrongdoing.
Have you worked inside the organization where the wrongdoing is taking place?
What matters is to disclose information that otherwise wouldn't be known.
