And needlessly, you've heard about living dangerously. Risks; by being daring and dangerous lifestyle choices folks make.  Global coronavirus cases teach 83 million and 2 million deaths worldwide on #NewYearsEve.

Why are they increasingly willing to take risks in public, to cram themselves onto planes even though the virus is taking more lives and hospitalizing more Americans than ever before.

What makes Love, Liberty, and Labor extremely important to all of us? These three make all the difference in the world for everyone.

As we look forward, and looking back, comparing to life in 1921, the similarities are amazing. A century ago, earth was pounded by a global pandemic; people around the world were starving, and there was a new #USA president being sworn in.

#Santa and #CDC remind everyone not to be naughty, but be nice to everybody by cooperating and wearing a 😷 face mask.

Wear masks in public, like on mass transportation, at events and gatherings, and anywhere they will be around other folks.

Have two or more layers of washable, breathable fabric

Completely cover your nose and mouth

Fit snugly against the sides of your face and

Wear a mask correctly and consistently for the best protection.

The first COVID vaccines have been distributed and to Americans living in the USA as our nation surpasses 300,000 deaths and The Electoral College votes to certify President-elect Jo Biden's victory and make Lame-duck Donald an official loser.

We all hope and pray everyone is careful and stays well during these trying times. It is a sad milestone as we have officially lost all the lives to this pandemic as it significantly spread to a slice of NYC Paradise.

Thanks Gracias Xiexie

The tumultuous year 2020 framed what promises to be one of the most challenging year-end seasons in recent memory.

With the pandemic still disrupting our daily lives, high rates of joblessness, the echoes of a divisive election cycle, and newfound urgency driving national discourse on civility. Front-line and health care workers are American heroes.

When I first moved to City Island, A Slice of NYC Paradise I found a small and quiet seaside village but I had no idea there would be so many knuckleheads living here who would eventually refuse to protect others and themselves by wearing masks. An old-timer who was born and died on the same street warned me that many of them had moved into our island. Captain Ed explained that according to local tradition, anyone actually born on the island is known as a "clamdigger". A City Island resident not born on the island is known as a "mussel-sucker."

On this day known as giving Tuesday, #CITYIMAGES wants to share some advice with our constant and regular readers.

The old phrase of washing out your mouth with soap may have been a traditional form of physical punishment that consists of placing soap, or a similar cleansing agent, inside a person's mouth so that the person will taste it, inducing what most people consider an unpleasant experience.

Over one thousand Americans died from COVID on Thanksgiving Day and more were financially destitute and hungry on Thursday.

President Trump's continues lying about his election loss without providing any proof as his GOP rhetoric hampers recovery and Americans face heightened economic and health fears.

Our national economy is in a dangerous and vulnerable spot entering the 2020 holiday season because POTUS and Republicans have failed to approve the necessary economic relief package, while The White House continually downplayed the COVID pandemic.

COVID Safety Restrictions

Anyone with intelligence knows that #COVID restrictions are for the benefit of family, friends, and neighbors, so everyone can stay alive.

However, some are saying that enforcing these rules infringes on human rights, but without them, there will be no humans left on earth.

Following the simple public health guidelines will keep us out of ICU but refusing them will not ensure that we will ever see you again.

Please wear a 😷 mask and forget about how it looks. Common sense proves that is better to feel great than to look 👀 good.
