UN SEEKS END TO ISRAEL PALESTINE CONFLICT

UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon today called on Israelis and Palestinians to take steps that will build trust and ensure an environment conducive to sustained negotiations, voicing his hope that the nascent talks begun last month between the two sides will continue.

“This is a critical moment for Israel and the region,” Mr. Ban said in remarks during a joint press conference with President Shimon Peres in Jerusalem.

The largest online social social network in the world wants to be a publicly traded company and sell shares on the stock market. This business plan was conceived inside Harvard University dorms about eight years ago, is on track to be the largest Internet initial public offering ever — trumping Google’s in 2004 or Netscape’s nearly a decade before that.

Inside observers say Facebook's long-term plan is becoming larger than many American companies.

Last night, The Bronx was once again the scene of another shoot-out. This time is was a quadruple shooting at the Vidalia Park Basketball court in West Farms.
Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz says despite his efforts, for the NYPD and NYC District Attorney to take as many illegal guns off our streets as possible, these senseless acts of gun violence continue to plague our borough.
