A historic commercial flight is flying from US to Cuba for the first time in a half century. This trip is first regular US commercial flight between the two countries in more than 50 years.

JetBlue Airways inaugural flight is the very first of its kind since 1961. The flight between Fort Lauderdale, Florida and the central Cuban city of Santa Clara is a historic one for The Castro regime.

It’s an art-on-the-walls event with a constant rotation of artists. The Story of the Wall NYC entrepreneur Savas Tsitiridis grew up in Queens where he still runs some of his businesses.

Savas is an art collector and a defender of Street Art, who has taken over the exteriors of a large Yellow Taxi garage in Queens.

Savas Tsitiridis, President, and CEO of United Taxi Management Group Inc. of New York City is a principal in Dispatch Taxi Affiliation. Mr. Tsitiridis immigrated to the United States from his native Greece in 1973.

Most Dangerous Cities

These are reportedly the latest and most up to date figures. Holding the first position among the world's most dangerous cities with 300,000 or more inhabitants is Caracas with a rate of 119.87 homicides per 100,000 inhabitants.

Having had the first for four consecutive years, San Pedro Sula (111.03) moved into second place, to achieve a significant decrease in the number of homicides.

San Salvador, a city I know all too well landed in the third position (108.54), Acapulco fourth (104.73) and the fifth to Maturin (86.45).

The USA appears to be facing a very unusual triple tropical threat from Mother Nature.

According to weather forecasters, two tropical depressions are going to soak portions of both the East Coast and Gulf Coast, while a hurricane takes aim on Hawaii.

Both depressions could potentially become tropical storms by Tuesday, according to the National Hurricane Center. Tropical Depression 8 should bring heavy rain, gusty winds, and rough surf to the Outer Banks of North Carolina on Tuesday.

The second Charles has announced a retirement from Sunday morning TV. CBS' Charles Osgood said he is ending 22 years as the host of 'Sunday Morning.'

The first anchorman of the famed broadcast weekly news and information program was Charles Kuralt. He was known first for his "On the Road" segments on The CBS Evening News, and later as the first anchor of CBS News Sunday Morning, a position he held for fifteen years.

Good Old Friends

As my grandchildren are returning to school it reminds me of my class reunion. Many aspects were what you'd expect: reconnecting with old friends, catching up on their lives and careers, as well as food and alcohol revelry.

I decided to bring my wife, so asked her to tag along, I was braced for a nightmare of never-ending tales of yesteryear in which she'd played no part (my wife and I met in the new Millenium) and reprisals of long-ago inside jokes. However, some other classmates also brought their spouses and it was just fine.

On this date and back in 1963, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. delivered his "I have a dream" speech from the Lincoln Memorial as 200,000 people gathered for a "Freedom March" in Washington DC.
