Why will NYPDs top Hispanic official be leaving his top management post. First Deputy Commissioner Rafael Pineiro was reportedly asked to step down, but the question that begs to be answered is why now?

City Island Images asked NYPD Commissioner William J. Bratton to explain.

Commissioner Bratton began his career in 1970 as a policeman in Boston. He has now lead six major US police departments in his distinguished career.

Pineiro, who is a Cuban-American and also lawyer, who rose to the rank of Chief before being promoted to First Deputy Commissioner.

Bi-State group of law enforcement and security agencies say the have enhanced preparedness and coordination in the states of New York and New Jersey.

US Homeland Security, NY NJ NYC held a bi-state meeting of federal, state and local law enforcement agencies. This meeting brought together relevant law enforcement and security officials to affirm and build on existing security and preparedness coordination.

The peace and quiet City Islanders are accustomed to enjoying was temporarily interrupted yesterday by police and fire engines, which were responding to a blaze on Rochelle street.

Thankfully, the entire family was out of the house, when a fire started in one of the bedrooms.
Paul, who lives there with his wife and daughter told City Island Images that his cat named Elvis unfortunately died.
