60 Flights were able to land, but Qantas Airways has quickly grounded its global fleet, suddenly locking out striking workers after many weeks of disruptions, which could close down the world's 10th largest airline plane by plane.

Australia's government called an emergency arbitration hearing that lasted nearly two hours before the judges adjourned it to issue a decision later tonight.

Qantas previously announced that it had more than doubled annual profit to AU$250 million, but warned the business environment was too challenging to forecast earnings for the current fiscal year.

SNOW IS A 4 LETTER WORD

Snow kidding. folks... this is not a Treat, but Mother Nature's Trick!

NYC has the potential for up to 5, inches of snowfall, but because the ground is warm, these flakes are likely to melt on contact.

While the city is no stranger to frigid Octobers, snow before Halloween is a rarity.
According to historians, our earliest snowfall in the city was a paltry 0.5 inches in Central Park on Oct. 15, 1876. There have only been three October days with measurable snowfall since the city began keeping records in 1869.

ST LOUIS CARDINALS WIN WORLD SERIES

Submitted by ub on

The fabulous St. Louis Cardinals have won their 11th World Series title by crushing the Texas Rangers, 6-2, in an exciting series that went to all seven games.

After winning Game 6 on a walk-off home run in the 11th inning, the Cardinals made darn sure Game 7 never went that far by taking a commanding lead in the third inning and extending it in the fifth and then the seventh innings.

The Texas Rangers jumped out to a quick 2-0 temporary lead, but those would prove to be the only runs they would score Friday night. Don't mess with The Cards, Texas!

According to US, Cuba is a totalitarian police state which relies on repressive methods to maintain control. These methods include intense physical and electronic surveillance of both Cuban citizens and foreign visitors. Americans visiting Cuba should be aware that any on-island activities could be subject to surveillance, and their contacts with Cuban citizens monitored closely.

Why do only 13% of Americans surveyed trust their elected public officials?
We suggest you contact your representative and ask them... What have you done for me today? You work for me, what did you do to improve my quality of life?

We recommend that you ask your local, state and national representatives this and many other questions that you may have. Their responses may wind up surprising you. Also, tell them you plan to stop in and see what they are doing during their normal working hours, before you decide to cast your next ballot.
