The sixty-something-year-old who lives in my building thinks he is a real drummer because he likes to bang with his drumsticks.

Never mind that he does this at night while most normal folks sleep, but he can't even keep a beat. Therefore he is more like a dumber boy.

What makes a great drummer? There are many metrics to consider, but there are various rankings in no particular order based on technical skill, creativity/innovation, compositional ability, and attitude.

The first storm of the season to effect the eastern seaboard is something Elsa altogether as it soaked the East Coast with an unrelenting weather system that claimed one life in Florida, injured several in Georgia, and flooded sections of New York City streets and subways.

As Elsa keeps powering over the eastern mid-Atlantic region it is expected to move near or over the northeastern United States. No significant change in strength is expected today, and Elsa is forecast to become a post-tropical cyclone.

Double sevens were not at all lucky for the President of Haiti, Jovenel Moïse. He was assassinated overnight. The Prime minister says an attack carried out by armed commando group’ that included foreign elements. First Lady Martine Moïse was injured in the attack and is receiving medical treatment.

The assassination of Jovenel Moïse is drawing condemnation from world leaders, along with calls for calm and unity in Haiti.

The Carters are celebrating their 75 years of marriage today. They are the longest in presidential history. Jimmy, 96, and Rosalynn, 93, mark this special occasion in the town where they met nearly one hundred years ago.

May God continue to bless this amazing couple of love birds in paradise after a young midshipman needed a date one evening while he was home from the U.S. Naval Academy, in Annapolis so his younger sister paired him with a family friend who already had a crush on him from way back.

The Sate of Florida is bracing for a potentially life-threatening storm surge ahead of Tropical Storm Elsa’s expected tour.

Elsa is expected pass near the Florida Keys Tuesday and move near or over portions of the west coast of the Florida peninsula.Tropical storm conditions, dangerous storm surge, and heavy rainfall are possible along the Keys and portions of the west coast; along with isolated tornadoes throughout the state. Severe thunderstorms capable of mainly damaging winds are possible over a portion of the Northeast.
