The Bronx Council on the Arts is proud to be a partnering organization with Lincoln Hospital in the launching of the Lincoln Art Exchange Program, an artist-specific healthcare program at Lincoln Hospital offering a unique option for eligible NYC-based artists who do not have health insurance to exchange their creative services for comprehensive healthcare. One Website offers to rent a mate willing to be in a relationship with you for a fee. They will be your online friend for a few days, just to make someone else jealous.

Bronx HS for the Visual Arts

Tomorrow afternoon @ 4:30 PM, Council Member James Vacca will join Deputy Borough President Aurelia Greene, as well as students and faculty from the Bronx High School for the Visual Arts, to cut the ribbon on the school’s recently renovated library and computer lab. Vacca and Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. allocated a combined $340,000 to fund the project, which included new flooring and furniture in the library, upgraded wiring, and new computers for the computer lab.

The first education summit, “From Cradle to Career,” will be taking place on October 15, 2011 at Lehman College, hosted by Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz.

As announced by the Borough President in his State of Borough address in 2010, he has put together a day-long conference designed to create an educational agenda for the Bronx. Borough President Diaz has gathered the most influential educational figures to discuss crucial topics affecting Bronx schools, such as special education, English Language Learners, and higher education.
