After working in TV news production for many years, Olivia is one of the reasons why I decided to stop watching the mourning news.

I have worked in print, radio, television, cable, and online media with commercial, governmental, educational as well as non-profit and in a couple of languages.

A bird experiences first, second or third degree burns depending of the tissue damage as a result of chemicals, electricity, heat or sale.

Elon Musk reportedly ousted some of Twitter's top executives, including its CEO, General Counsel and CFO, after completing his $44 billion takeover deal. He then tweeted "the bird is freed" We wonder if the bird is fried, or burned?

No longer kept at bay by the presidency, US Congress the Justice Department and state prosecutors are going for citizen Trump.

I am lots more proud than many peacocks of my management skills as well as filled with joy to learn about one of my hires.

My wide simile alludes to the NBC peacock, with its colorful tail that can be expanded like a fan, which has long symbolized vanity and pride. Both Natalie and I worked there, but at different times. I worked there as a news producer back in the days of Brokaw, Gumball, Pauley, Chung, and Norville.

These images gathered by my colleagues from The Associated Press show a detailed apocalyptic vision of #MoRonDisaters' Florida.

In six years there have been as many historic hurricanes in the continental United States, all of which intensified quickly before making landfall. Climate change helped fuel them. Yet, Republicans continue to be deniers of science.

The vulnerable seniors living in Florida need a grownup Governor looking to improve their quality of life, not trying to score political points elsewhere.

At the Academy Awards, Network won three of the four acting awards the only other film to achieve that was A Streetcar Named Desire in 1951. Peter Finch died before the 1977 ceremony and was the only performer to win a posthumous Academy Award (until 2009 when Heath Ledger won Best Supporting Actor). The statuette itself was collected by Finch's widow, Eletha Finch after Chayefsky invited her onstage. Beatrice Straight's performance as Louise Schumacher occupied only five minutes and two seconds of screen time, making it the shortest performance to win an Oscar as of 2022 (breaking Gloria Grahame's nine-minute and 32-second screen time record for The Bad and the Beautiful in 1953).[

The Royal Cypher and the Royal coat of arms changes with a new king. The words of the national anthem are 'God Save the King.'

He is now the Monarch of The United Kingdom and 14 other Commonwealth realms. He acceded to the throne on 8 September 2022 upon the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II.

Can the new King and Prime-minister be able to prove themselves worth of their new responsibilities during these trying times?  Will King Charles III begin to make pronouncements as opposed to his scrupulously neutral mom, Queen Elizabeth II?

Attacks on the press reach an all-time high in The United States of America as a result of previous GOP administration policies.

The Committee to Protect Journalists promotes press freedom worldwide and defends the right of journalists to report the news without fear of reprisal. CPJ ensures the free flow of news and commentary by taking action wherever journalists are attacked, imprisoned, killed, kidnapped, threatened, censored, or harassed.

These are two guys from my long and distinguished media career. A blast from my long broadcasting and news media past.

Taking the time to explain stories and caring, as well as providing accurate facts in proper contexts, along with helping to browse the contemporary world. But it also includes the journalistic ecosystem.

On rock bottom is Richard Warner GOP “Dick’ Carlson. An American Republican former journalist, diplomat, lobbyist and VOANews Director during the end of the Cold War.
