YELLOW SUB

Five decades ago The Beatles were changing the world with songs the band recorded is staggering.

Their sheer creative output is part of why they have such a lasting legacy, and it becomes even more overwhelming when you remember they were also movie stars. The quality of those movies varies wildly, but there are several all-time classics among the films The Beatles made together, and none hold up better than Yellow Submarine.

BEATLE BALANCE

There was "The Fab Four" but only one of The Beatles never shied away from vocal political protest: Libra leader John Lennon.

Some judged him as bad and those who knew him said he was a lovely person. John said he was who he was and that was his final answer. He was the first to die and the only one to be murdered with a firearm, but yet little has changed.

My late pal DJ Murray Kaufman, professionally known as Murray the K, was an influential New York City disc jockey until the '70s.

He was my favorite DJ and during his heyday, Kaufman was dubbed ''The Fifth Beatle'' after helping to introduce the Fab Four to America and serving as master of ceremonies for their concerts at Carnegie Hall and Shea Stadium. He became program director and drive-time disc jockey on WOR-FM, 98.7, one of the first FM rock stations.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xh4URmTx78w

The Fab Four are the most important rock band of all time. Lennon and McCartney wrote all the best songs with help from their friends.

George Harrison and Ringo Starr were the two most underrated of the group, but that was just a wrong appearance most observers realized after a deep dive.

Here comes the song and meet The Beatles “Now and Then,” This is an updated recording produced and made available with AI.

This song was originally recorded in 1970 as a demonstration by John Lennon and has now been cleaned up with audio-enhancing technology. This moment is one that means so much to me and my grandson, Parker. He is young and yet, this amazing band from the 70s gave the universe a "last" taste of their magic that has touched many in ways that no others have.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AW55J2zE3N4

Unfortunately, it took decades, but being a Hispanic and speaking in Spanish is now en vogue and normalized. Leila's Billboard essay.
