The White gunman who killed three Black people in a racially motivated attack at a Dollar General store in Jacksonville, Florida, on Saturday legally purchased the two firearms he used in the shooting earlier this year, Jacksonville Sheriff T.K. Waters said in a news conference Sunday.

The gunman, identified as 21-year-old Ryan Christopher Palmeter, bought a handgun in April and an AR-15-style rifle in June, the sheriff said. He lived with his parents in nearby Orange Park and had no criminal arrest history, although he had been temporarily involuntarily held under the Baker Act in 2017, the sheriff said.

A Florida lawyer who is licensed to practice in several states files a challenge to Trump’s name on the ballot.

Lawrence Caplan’s filing asserts that Trump’s actions on Jan. 6, 2021 violated the amendment and asks that he be barred from seeking the presidency and from appearing on the ballot in Florida’s 2024 presidential primary next March 19. …

“Caplan’s challenge is among the first 14 Amendment-related objections lodged against Trump in a federal court. However, discussion of the 45th president’s disqualification has surged in the past week.

Robert William Barker was an American television game show host. He hosted CBS's The Price Is Right, the longest-running daytime game show in North American television history, from 1972 to 2007. He also hosted Truth or Consequences from 1956 to 1975

My wife Yirong and I visited a local married couple and good friends and asked them to witness to our 10-year wedding renewals.

Just catching up is fine, but sitting around and dunking our feet in their pool and sharing afternoons together like kids do are how we make memories. While we were enjoying a lively conversation, with Bill and Elena, my wife noticed a single flower growing out of their brick patio, giving a new meaning to the term concrete, or brick jungle.
