NYC Transportation Chair James Vacca will convene a public hearing on Introduction 1042.

Originally introduced by Council Member David Greenfield, it would require municipal meters to be deactivated when parking rules are not in effect or when receipt paper is not available.

The committee will hear testimony from the DOT-Department of Transportation on the feasibility of making the citywide on-street parking system fairer.

So far, we've had one of the most pleasant Springs I can remember. There have been many crisp, sunny days and very beautiful weekends. We will likely finish May period with near normal temperatures, and as it turns out normal weather can be very nice. The 92nd annual Memorial Day Parade at City Island, not only featured US veterans, but a marching band, politicians, as well as senior and junior citizens.

Hanging out with Jackie Kyle Kall is always a good time, but having drinks with her on her 88th birthday is sure to define City Island fine.

The 88 year old breaks every mold, including never ask a lady her age. She is happy to share her young age and never passes up an opportunity for a good old fashioned celebration.
