  • Cost: Carpets can be more expensive to buy and install on a large scale. Rugs are generally more affordable, though handmade, high-quality options can be expensive. 

When to Choose Which

  • Choose Carpet: For maximum comfort, warmth, and sound reduction in bedrooms, living rooms, or areas where you want a seamless look.

  • Choose a Rug: To add texture/color, define specific spaces, protect hardwood/tile floors, or for the flexibility to change decor frequently.
