From the archives: Edward R. Murrow's World War II broadcasts. During World War II, CBS News Radio broadcaster Edward R. Murrow brought news of the war - with immediacy and empathy - into the homes of Americans. In this "Sunday Morning" report originally aired on May 7, 1995, Charles Osgood looked back at the journalist whose words helped listeners an ocean away see what he saw, from the London Blitz and the Allies' invasion of Europe, to the liberation of Buchenwald concentration camp.
