Caribbean-American Heritage Month

On 6/6/2006, POTUS George W. Bush issued a proclamation recognizing June as Caribbean-American Heritage Month.

This month-long observance promotes the rich culture and heritage of Caribbean American people and their contributions to the United States of America.

Meanwhile, the wealthgap between Black and White Americans is growing. And without policy interventions or other forces leading to improvements in the relative wealth-accumulating conditions of Black Americans it will be impossible to narrow this increasing gap.
