ELSA Go Away

The first storm of the season to effect the eastern seaboard is something Elsa altogether as it soaked the East Coast with an unrelenting weather system that claimed one life in Florida, injured several in Georgia, and flooded sections of New York City streets and subways.

As Elsa keeps powering over the eastern mid-Atlantic region it is expected to move near or over the northeastern United States. No significant change in strength is expected today, and Elsa is forecast to become a post-tropical cyclone.

Tropical storm warnings were in effect along the coast from North Carolina to Massachusetts. There was a chance Long Island in New York would see sustained tropical-storm-force winds, according to the National Weather Service.

Here in NYC flooding is spotted both insides, and above, subway stations as severe storms move through. Watered-down bipartisanship bills lead to water-filled freeways. CONGRESS - Pass the reconciliation bill now.
