HAPPY EVERYTHING

As we approach the Holidays, let us not forget that we are all Americans and should be thankful for our enduring democracy.

Every day should be Thanksgiving Day. It is a national holiday in the United States, and Thanksgiving 2023 occurs on Thursday, November 23. In 1621, the Plymouth colonists from England and the Native American Wampanoag people shared an autumn harvest feast that is acknowledged as one of the first Thanksgiving celebrations in the colonies.

Be Thankful For

  • Having air to breathe
  • The feeling of the sun
  • The smell of flowers, fresh-cut grass, or trees
  • The people we have in our lives
  • That our parents gave us this life
  • To be alive
  • For a beautiful sunrise
  • For the beach
  • For each new day
  • For opportunities
  • For the opportunity to learn from mistakes
  • Today is probably not the worst day
  • For a hot cup of tea or coffee
  • For the hard times, because they will help us appreciate the good times
  • For failure, because it makes us stronger
  • To be able to think our thoughts
  • For the body—it carries us through this life
  • To be able to learn new things
  • To have a place to sleep at night
  • For time to experience life
  • For simply existing
  • That I will get to live today and hopefully tomorrow, too
  • For health, even though it may not be perfect
  • For family

For more than two centuries, days of thanksgiving were celebrated by individual colonies and states. It wasn’t until 1863, in the midst of the Civil War, that President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national Thanksgiving Day to be held each November. But the holiday is not without controversy. Many Americans—including people of Native American ancestry—believe Thanksgiving celebrations mask the true history of oppression and bloodshed that underlies the relationship between European settlers and Native Americans.

Now, let us all stay healthy and wise, cause wealthy can sometime be highly over-rated.

  •  When we are flush with cash, we spend. When times are tight, we conserve to extend financial longevity. Our body is no different. We need to stress our bodies a bit to activate that repair circuit.
  • We do not need to starve. Limiting our food intake to eight or ate hours a day is probably the most comfortable way to get notable results.
  • The Grim Reaper is slow. We can literally walk away from him.
  • :If we are up for experimentation, Metformin shows a lot of promise. Talk to any doctor. An MD from the University of Nowhere.
  • Live like we are young. I am 39 and a half, so let’s be less surly in our second adolescence, okay?
  • Last but not least, ditch the jerks and spend more time with those we love and enjoy socializing with.

Finally,… Put every ounce of energy passion and intensity into making today your best day. Peace. Love and Unity!

100 Reasons to Be Grateful
