LOVE THY NEIGHBOR

Submitted by ub on

‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ No other commandment is greater. Americans don't realize how lucky we are with Canada.

Let’s take a quick look to compare other neighbors worldwide and who some neighboring nations have been stuck sharing a border with.
Israel / Palestine
India / Pakistan
China / Russia

North Korea / South Korea
Greece / Turkey
Iran / Iraq

This heartfelt reflection on the relationship between the U.S. and Canada, will attempt to emphasize the irony and disappointment of the situation where, despite the long-standing friendship and cooperation between the two countries, economic tensions have now surfaced for no reason.

During my Canadian travels, my multilingual abilities and charming nature shined bright in interpersonal dealings. When this Air sign wants to get anything done, I often know how to find the person willing to support my aims. Oh, it is ever no nice to be a Tiger ruled by Venus!

Canadians' overall approach to daily diplomacy is friendly and non-confrontational. Their collaborative efforts alongside the U.S. are impressive in global matters. This underscores the absurdity of initiating economic conflict with our good neighbor to the north, especially when there's such a long history of mutual respect and shared values. I have seen this firsthand in Montreal, Quebec, and Niagara Falls, to name a few.

The point is to aim at the U.S. administration, specifically the trade policies under Donald Trump, which are self-destructive and illogical. By pointing out the inconsistencies in the rationale for imposing tariffs on Canada—such as the existing trade surplus and the irony of targeting a neighbor with whom the U.S. has a strong economic and military alliance—it highlights the deep frustration and embarrassment is obvious.

And any mention of Putin's part in an attempt at NATO's disintegration adds a layer of geopolitical concern, warning of the consequences of undermining international relations. This is a call for the U.S. to recognize the value of its Canadian neighbor and to reconsider actions that could harm that longstanding relationship.

This one speaks to both personal and national embarrassment. It raises important questions about goodwill, diplomacy, trade, and the broader international landscape. It also reflects the tension between nationalistic rhetoric and the complex realities of global interdependence.

What is really going on here? Folks who follow the rule of law can be a threat if you are a criminal.
Anyone with intelligence, a good heart, and a soul should be able to identify this #MAGA bull.
