MAGA CULPA

More Americans are now viewing Christianity negatively as a result of the anti-Christian MAGA movement, and blaming Trump's hate.

Those surveyed see the former guy as the antithesis of a real Christian. He better go to confession and repent for all his deadly sins before it’s too late. They're concerned that his alliance with white evangelicals may be negatively shaping public perceptions of Christianity. Trump's strong support among white evangelicals, despite criticism from other Christian groups like Catholics, who are the largest sector, and Mainline Protestants, could be influencing broader public opinion about Christianity as a whole. The so-called Christian right is wrong and not Christian.

This issue revolves around the intersection of politics and religion, where Trump's policies and rhetoric resonate strongly with a segment of the evangelical community, often referred to as the "MAGA base." This scam, while bolstering Trump's support among this small group of voters, also draws criticism and creates divisions within the larger community of devout Christians.

Trump's actions and policies, which are championed by many white evangelicals, may be overshadowing or distorting the broader principles and teachings of Christianity in the public eye. This could reinforce stereotypes or negative perceptions about Christianity, particularly when viewed through a political lens.

The ongoing debates about the role of religion in politics affect alliances between political figures and religious groups and can shape public discourse and perceptions. It underscores the complexities and challenges of navigating the intersection of faith, politics, and public opinion.

Battling evil, cruelty, and injustice allows Christian s to retain an identity, a sense of meaning, and ultimately our faith in The Almighty.

Meanwhile, AlterNet, which calls itself, America's oldest independent progressive news site, is conducting a national poll about whether former President Donald Trump should be permitted to hold office again after two impeachments and a host of legal issues.

Should Trump hold office again?
