On I Love Lucy she wants to be in Ricky's cabaret show and auditions, but there is one condition, Lucy must fit into a tight dress.

Cuban Pete is a 1946 black-and-white musical comedy released in the United States. It was directed by Jean Yarbrough and starred the Cuban-born actor and musician Desi Arnaz. The simple comedy plot contains many numbers of Cuban music and dance, including the song "Cuban Pete" by Joseph Norman. It was used in: the television show I Love Lucy (episodes: "The Diet," with Lucille Ball as Sally Sweet, and "Lucy Goes to a Rodeo" as an alternative version, "Texas Pete") https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lic2oj0otV4

To point out why I love Lucy and millions do too, during the song and dance skit Lucy rips the costume trying to make it fit then Ricky says if Lucy fits in it she can be in the show not giving up Lucy works out and eats right and ends up being in the show.

Years later, Rubén Blades, another Latino sang about Pete. He also performed Pedro Navaja live in concert- Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UibAE_x6NM8  https://www.youtube.com/wa…

Let us talk about supporting independent candidates, championing the little guy, and amplifying the often overlooked, good work they can and should do. Vote for a Pedro, who is a masculine given name. Pedro is the Spanish, Portuguese, and Galician name for Peter. ... Its French equivalent is Pierre. It comes from a rock, or a stone. A classic Spanish name derived from the Hebrew Peter, meaning “stone” or “rock,” Pedro is all about strength, tradition, and loyalty. Wasn’t St. Peter the bill collector?
