A book about my Tocayo, Robert Frost: A Life, examines the poet's childhood, his college years at Dartmouth and Harvard, and his rise to fame. Mr. Parini explained that while many biographers have profiled the poet as a vindictive and selfish person, that was merely the perpetuation of a reputation established by a biographer with a personal enmity toward Frost. Mr. Parini examined the source notes of this biographer that contradict many of his own stories. Mr. Parini talked about the tragedies and difficult circumstances of Frost's life and strived to present a more balanced view. Photographs from the book were shown, and a brief video clip of the inauguration of President Kennedy.
