One Bad apple in this case applies because he was also born in NYC, which is often called The Big Apple. The proverb was first used back in the early 16th century.

"The rotten apple spoils his companion" appears in published work by Benjamin Franklin in 1736. That one eventually morphed to, "One bad apple spoils the barrel," with the ending varying to baskets or bins.
The twice impeached former guy and sore loser still says he won although he lost by millions of votes and claims he will very, very, very probably do it again!

This disinformation alleges that the 2020 U.S. election was âstolen,â leading to a fraudulent victory by current President Joe Biden. This has been widely debunked. No court has determined that there was widespread electoral fraud. In fact, Trump lost 63 of the 64 lawsuits he filed on the matter. The only case he won did not prove any fraud.
