US Elections are scheduled to be held, on November 3, 2026, in midterm elections, occurring during Republican president Donald Trump's second term, all 435 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives and 35 of the 100 seats in the U.S. Senate will determine the 120th United States Congress.
Meanwhile, keep in mind that Trump continues to say he’s on the ballot.
Thirty-nine state and territorial U.S. gubernatorial elections, attorney general elections, and numerous state and local elections, will also be contested.
The lead-up to the elections was marked by an inflation surge amidst the United States affordability crisis, including on gas, healthcare, and food prices. Polling indicated this was the top issue for voters ahead of the elections.
The unpopular 2026 Iran war and its impact on gas prices, along with tariffs, contributed to high prices. Other key issues include opposition to water, energy, and pollution-intensive AI data centers; restrictions on abortion; corruption; and foreign policy, including relations with American allies along with proposed expansionism.
