Just as this great nation came together after 9/11, come together after Trump's indicted for a 1/6 attempt to overthrow our government.
A divided nation should learn from World Cup athletes on settling our internal disputes. We must see through the smoke screen that the twice-impeached, loser liar has managed. He has now been referred by Congress for criminal prosecution and has got nowhere to run, except to Putin his puppet master.
History shows many examples of mutual misunderstandings escalating into unintended conflict. Americans need to embrace a way to manage our crisis in order to prevent additional violence and economic clashes.
A growing number of Americans want to tear down what it’s taken the USA 250 years to build and they’ll start by canceling our shared history, ideals, culture, and Constitution.
Traditional areas of civic agreement are vanishing. If we can’t agree on what makes America special, then we can’t even agree that America is special. We’re coming to the point that we can’t even agree on what the word America itself means.
If you're looking for someone to save America, just gaze into your own mirror and search your soul.
I taught journalism at Georgia State University and ran across this old comic book.
Husband: "Together we can lick inflation -- and Communism!"
Wife: "It's important to me...and to you!"
Father-in-law: "And it's up to all of us."
After her husband writes a letter to their congressman, the wife says, "I'm a voter, too! I can write our congressman, too, can't I?"
Her father-in-law replies, "Of course, every citizen can...and should! The way to prevent higher prices and keep our money strong -- is to cut unnecessary government expenses -- and 'pay as we go'!"
"Together we can lick inflation and Communism!"
"It's important to me...and to you!"
"And it's up to all of us."
In order to be a cohesive nation Americans must uphold foundational truths about ourselves, our history, and reality.
