WOMAN’S WORLD

Submitted by ub on

Although some like to say this is a man’s world, it is important to note the best nation is led by the most wonderful women in the world.

According to some published reports, The United States tops a list of the best countries in the world. In 2021, the country had an HDI of 0.921. The country boasts a GDP of $27.9 trillion, as of 2024. The number of foreign-born people in the country was 50.6 million in 2020. The country spent 2.46% of its GDP on research and development in 2021.

Hispanics have traveled to outer space and sit on the U.S. Supreme Court. They have led movements and are among the groundbreakers shaping each generation. We Latinos collectively inherit their leadership... Bravo!

Meanwhile, American women are our communities' leaders, entrepreneurs, activists, and trailblazers. They are women who make a difference every day – in every state.

Introducing USA 2024 Women of the Year, 60 women nationwide use their voices and determination to push for change equality, and even joy.

They inspire us, influence us, and make us laugh. They include women such as director and actress Eva Longoria pushing for accurate portrayals of Latinos, and Nebraska’s Asheli Spivey improving the lives of Black moms. They are 17-year-old Eva Lighthiser of Montana challenging her state to consider how environmental change affects future generations. And they are Tennessee’s Melissa Alexander, Becky Bailey Hansen, Mary Joyce, and Sarah Shoop Neumann, four moms bound together after Nashville’s Covenant School shooting, working to make schools safer.

They are our neighbors and role models. They use their voices for others, many overcoming immense challenges, to make change happen. Simply put, they make us want to do better.
