The Washington D.C. hero's welcome for Senator John McCain, who died of brain cancer on Aug. 25 is realized as his body lies in state at the US Capitol, which is a rare honor that has been bestowed to only 31 people during the previous 166 years. The service is a fitting ceremony to honor the late Senator John McCain (R-AZ) and takes place in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda.
