New York Governor Andrew Mark Cuomo may be no mo next month, but will it save him from complete and total political humiliation?
The 63-year-old Cuomo says he’ll step down to try and avoid a likely impeachment trial over allegations that he sexually harassed 11 ladies. However, New York legislators have not decided to drop an impeachment investigation that started in March, which had been expected to end in a few days. Andy could still be banned from seeking state office if he is impeached by the State Assembly and convicted in a trial before the New York Senate. His announcement to resign as governor brings an end to New York’s latest and most enigmatic political dynasty.
Meanwhile, Lieutenant Governor Kathy Hochul, a western New Yorker who is unfamiliar with Andy’s Gang after six years in office is now the designated political clean-up woman who will take the reins of authority in New York. The Buffalo-area Democrat will be the first female governor. Did he sound like other perpetrators of the #MeToo era in his resignation speech?
Andrew Cuomo’s resignation leaves wide-open the NY governor’s race next for year and setting the stage for what could become a NY street fight and free-for-all with candidates slugging it out. It’s too late for Andy now.
Not even Andy, nor the hot air of Pasta Fazooli, or Froggy the Gremlin may be able to save Andy from a planned political Gang bang in Albany, NY.
