Prepare for a special musica treat if you're in NYC... He's the son of a salsa sailer Arturo O'Farrill is a jazz musician, famous son of Latin jazz musician, arranger and bandleader Chico O'Farrill, and current pianist, composer, and director for the Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra.
On June 8, 6pm Arturo O’Farrill and the BLITZ, a Latin Jazz ensemble from The Bronx and a guerrilla jazz jam will collaborate with Garifuna musicians Libaña Maraza. Cultural Ambassador of the Bronx, Baron Ambrosia, will be engaging the community to do one pull-up with the Pull-up Bar of Power and Double Dutch with The South Bronx Starlights.
