They call them foot ball games, but some fear that a few participants may be playing with fire. This weekend, its college football with a day full of bowl games from across this great nation.
A half dozen are scheduled this morning and others will be played past midnight. These are not professional sporting events, but those playing are subjected to similar injuries their counterparts have experienced over the years. It has been said that Life keeps imitating art, but in this case it may be the reverse.
"Concussion," has just started playing in U.S. movie theaters. Actor Will Smith plays the part of Nigerian forensic pathologist Dr. Bennet Omalu, who uncovered the degenerative brain disease chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) in former Pittsburgh football players that died sudden and tragic deaths.
Reviews are coming in and "Concussion", with Will Smith and director/co-writer Peter Landesman have done a terrific job telling a story that needs to be told, heard, seen and felt. If audiences are being realistic they’ll feel "Concussion," and it may be painful.
